峨嵋山 is an older variant spelling of 峨眉山 (Éméishān); both refer to the same mountain in Sichuan. 峨眉 is the standard modern form, but 峨嵋 still appears in classical poetry and martial arts fiction.

One of China's Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains (alongside 五台山 Wǔtáishān, 普陀山 Pǔtuóshān, and 九华山 Jiǔhuáshān). Famous for the Golden Summit (金顶 Jīndǐng), aggressive Tibetan macaques, and as the home of the Emei sword school (峨嵋派) in wuxia novels.
