From 《夜雨寄北》 by 李商隐 (Li Shangyin, late Tang): '君问归期未有期，巴山夜雨涨秋池。何当共剪西窗烛，却话巴山夜雨时.' A letter to his wife (or a friend) up north — the rain in the present becomes an anticipated memory to share later.
usage
巴山 = the mountains of Ba, today's eastern Sichuan / Chongqing region — the 巴 ancient state. Still used as a literary name for that region.
