How to delete your p8nda account and what happens to your data.
From the website
- Sign in at p8nda.com/login
- Open Account from the navbar (your email)
- Go to the Danger zone section
- Click Delete account
- Confirm by typing the requested phrase and entering your password
From the mobile app
- Open the p8nda app on your device
- Go to the Settings tab (bottom right)
- Tap Log In if you are not already logged in
- Once logged in, tap your email to open Account
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion by entering your password
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account credentials: email address, password hash, and linked Google or Apple account
- Web sessions: any active sign-in sessions on the website
- Flashcard decks: all saved decks, word lists, in-progress sessions, and session history
- Word history: all viewed words
- Translation history: personal translation history
- Learning statistics: stroke practice scores and per-word study data
- Settings: all user preferences
- Devices: all linked devices
What data may be retained
The following data may be retained for operational purposes:
- Anonymized usage logs: AI usage statistics with no personal identifiers
- Shared translation cache: cached translations are shared across all users and not linked to individual accounts
