1. Who we are

p8nda is operated by Volverix sp. z o.o., registered in Poland. References to "we", "us", or "p8nda" in these terms refer to Volverix sp. z o.o.

2. Acceptance

By using p8nda (the website or the mobile app), you agree to these terms.

3. The service

p8nda provides Chinese language learning tools. The service is provided "as is" without warranties.

Mobile app

Chinese dictionary, AI translations and AI Q&A (powered by Gemini), flashcard decks with practice and stroke order modes, audio pronunciation, offline access, and cross-device sync.

Website

Chinese dictionary with word pages, search with sentence breakdown, stroke order animations, audio pronunciation, image OCR (paste a screenshot to extract Chinese text), AI translation, flashcard decks with practice sessions, and user accounts with cross-device sync.

4. Accounts

You may use the dictionary, translation, OCR, and flashcards without an account on either platform. Creating an account enables sync across devices and unlocks higher daily limits.

You can sign up with email and password, with Google, or with Apple (mobile only). You are responsible for keeping your credentials and devices secure. We will never ask for your password.

You can delete your account at any time from the account section. Account deletion anonymizes your personal data immediately.

5. Usage limits

• Mobile app (no login): full dictionary, 15 AI translations/day, local flashcards.
• Mobile app (free account): adds sync across devices and 25 AI translations/day.
• Website (no login): full dictionary, search, sentence breakdown, 10 OCR/day, 15 AI translations/day, local flashcards.
• Website (free account): adds sync across devices and 25 AI translations/day.
• Pro: extended limits and premium features. Pricing announced separately.

6. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no automated scraping, no circumventing rate limits, no illegal use, no attempts to disrupt or compromise the service or other users.

7. AI-generated content

Translations, OCR results, AI Q&A answers, and AI-assisted dictionary content may contain errors. They are for learning purposes only and should not be relied on for professional, medical, or legal use.

8. Intellectual property

The app, website, and dictionary content are owned by Volverix sp. z o.o. Your user-generated content (flashcard decks, custom translations, etc.) remains yours.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that endanger the service. You can delete your account anytime.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
