Some Chinese 神话人物 are tied to festivals. 嫦娥, who flew to the moon, is remembered at the 中秋节 (Mid-Autumn Festival), and 牛郎织女, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, meet once a year on 七夕, the seventh night of the seventh lunar month.
