Tips

history
Explicitly written as a reply / inversion of 陆游 Lu You's earlier 《卜算子·咏梅》 (whose last line is 只有香如故 in this same batch) - Mao's plum is joyful, Lu You's is tragic.
usage
here = 'see off / escort.' = 'return / go home' - together, a personification of spring leaving, as if being waved off.
