西塞山前白鹭飞，
桃花流水鳜鱼肥。
青箬笠，
绿蓑衣，
斜风细雨不须归 (White egrets fly before Xisai Mountain; peach blossoms on flowing water, the mandarin fish plump. Green bamboo hat, green straw cape — in the slanting wind and fine rain, no need to go home). One of the most-loved short ci in Chinese literature, also deeply influential on Japanese waka through its travel to Heian-era poets.
