Tips

culture
The saying 无徽不成镇, "no town without Huizhou men", shows how far they spread, and many of the rich salt merchants of 扬州 were from Huizhou. The houses they built back home survive in villages such as 西递 and 宏村. They are often paired with the 晋商 of Shanxi.
