usage
A single-character fish name; the 鱼 radical gives the category and 丕 the sound. English anglers know the goonch from lurid stories on the Kali River in India - a very real giant bagrid that can grow past two metres and ambushes prey in strong currents.
Left fish radical, simplified from 魚 (the four-dot 灬 tail compressed to a single horizontal stroke). It indexes 魾 in the fish-name family: 鲤 carp, 鲨 shark, 鲸 whale, 鳗 eel. Any character with 鱼 on the left names a specific fish species - and 魾 is the goonch catfish, a giant predatory bagrid of South Asian rivers.
