usage
Two senses share one character: physically winding (迂回, to detour) and mentally rigid (迂腐, bookish and impractical). Both come from the core idea of not going straight to the point.
The walking radical, always written last and wrapping the lower left. It marks the character as something about a path or going — here a winding, roundabout route. It groups 迂 with 道, 远, and 迷.
