茶川 is the Chinese rendering of the Japanese surname 芥川 (Akutagawa). 茶川龙之介 (Akutagawa Ryunosuke, 1892–1927) was a seminal Japanese short story writer, and the Akutagawa Prize (芥川賞) is named after him.
