Together with the Angles (盎格鲁人 Ànggélǔrén) and Jutes they make up the 'Anglo-Saxon' (盎格鲁-撒克逊 Ànggélǔ-Sākèxùn) settlers of post-Roman Britain. Their continental homeland is Saxony (萨克森 Sàkèsēn) in modern Germany.
