Tips

culture
He was buried in Westminster Abbey in 1400 because he rented a house on the abbey grounds, not because he was a poet. Later writers chose burial near him, and the spot became Poets' Corner, 诗人之角.
memory
叟 means "old man" - and Chaucer was indeed depicted in his famous portrait as a bearded elder. Useful mnemonic: think "Old Man Chaucer".
