Tips

culture
The whole poem: 朱雀桥边野草花,乌衣巷口夕阳斜。旧时王谢堂前燕,飞入寻常百姓家。 'By Zhuque Bridge the wild grass flowers; at the mouth of Wuyi Lane the evening sun slants. The swallows that nested in the halls of the Wang and Xie now fly into the homes of ordinary people.' The great Eastern Jin clans of 王导 and 谢安 lived here; by the time 刘禹锡 wrote, four centuries later, their mansions were long gone.
history
