乌

The opening 丿 stroke is the indexing Kangxi radical assigned to 乌. It groups 乌 with other top-of-character left-falling-stroke entries in traditional dictionary lookup; the rest of the silhouette has fused into a single un-decomposable cursive shape.

Originally depicted a crow in profile, distinguished from 鸟 (bird) by the missing eye-dot since the crow's black plumage hides its eye. The remaining strokes preserve the bird's body and curling tail in a fused cursive silhouette that is not analyzable into independent named pieces.
