Distilled in 二郎镇 across the Chishui River from Maotai, 郎酒 uses the same 酱香型 (sauce-aroma) process and very similar water and climate. Its flagship 青花郎 is marketed as 'China's other 酱香 baijiu' — directly positioned as Maotai's neighbor and rival.
