Standard sequence on Chinese wedding day: 接亲 (groom arrives at bride's home, plays bridesmaid games) → 迎亲 (escort her back to groom's home or banquet hall) → 拜堂 (formal bows) → banquet. The 迎亲车队 (convoy) is itself a status-signaling performance.
