工商局 (gōngshāngjú): Bureau of Industry and Commerce

Handles business registration, consumer complaints, trademark issues, and commercial licensing. In 2018 the national-level 工商局 (SAIC) was merged with several other agencies into the 国家市场监督管理总局 (SAMR), but 工商局 is still widely used at local levels and in everyday speech.
