Tips

usage
乐得 expresses 'gladly accepting an arrangement that conveniently suits oneself' — there's a nuance of 'this works out well for me, so I'll go with it.' Almost always followed by a verb phrase. Don't confuse with 乐意 (lèyì) 'willing to' which lacks the 'happens to suit me' nuance.
memory
(lè, 'happy') + (dé, 'to gain/get') — literally 'gain happiness from it,' i.e. 'I come out ahead of this, so sure.'
