One of two equinoxes in the 24 solar terms (the other being 春分, Vernal Equinox), when the sun crosses the celestial equator and day and night are roughly equal. Since 2018, Qiufen has been designated China's official 中国农民丰收节 (Farmers' Harvest Festival).
