北大 (Peking University) forms the elite 'C9/
清北' tier of Chinese higher education, roughly analogous to Oxbridge or Harvard/MIT. The campus
清华园 (Qinghua Garden) is a former Qing imperial garden, and the famous scenic spot
水木清华 ('clear waters and radiant trees') gives the university its name.
