history

樱桃谷 is a calque of "Cherry Valley" — the English Lincolnshire farm that developed the breed in the 1950s from exported Peking duck stock. Ironically, most "Peking" roast duck in China today uses this UK-bred line, which was reintroduced in the 1990s.
