Tips

grammar
不已 means 'without stopping' and follows many emotion/sound verbs: 赞叹不已, 激动不已, 懊悔不已. It's always clause-final, never before the verb.
usage
Strongly positive — reserved for genuine, sustained admiration. For mild surprise use 吃了一惊 or 感到惊讶 instead.
