Examples

他是个口是心非的人，别全信他的话。
Tā shì ge kǒu shì xīn fēi de rén, bié quán xìn tā de huà.
He's two-faced; don't fully trust what he says.
你别口是心非，到底愿不愿意？
Nǐ bié kǒu shì xīn fēi, dàodǐ yuàn bù yuànyì?
Stop saying one thing and meaning another — do you want to or not?
她嘴上说不在乎，其实口是心非。
Tā zuǐ shàng shuō bù zàihu, qíshí kǒu shì xīn fēi.
She says she doesn't care, but her mouth and heart disagree.

Tips

usage
Used for deliberate duplicity, not for ordinary politeness or indecision. Compare with 心口不一 (similar meaning but slightly milder).
