Tips

usage
The name copies the Japanese ハチ公 (Hachikō): 八 for hachi "eight", and 公 for -kō, an affectionate honorific. A bronze statue of him outside 涩谷站 (Shibuya Station) is one of Tokyo's best-known meeting spots.
mistakes
八公山 in Anhui is unrelated: it is the hill where, in 383, the beaten army of 苻坚 took every bush for an enemy soldier, the origin of 草木皆兵.
