Meanings

Literally 'to leave the world' — a euphemism for dying.

Tā de fùqīn qùnián qùshì le.

His father passed away last year.

Tā zài jiǔshí suì shí qùshì.

She passed away at the age of ninety.

Tā qùshì yǐhòu, jiārén fēicháng bēishāng.

After he passed away, the family was very sad.

usage
