As a word of assent, 俞 survives only in classical quotations such as the dialogues in the 尚书 (Book of Documents). It is no longer used this way in modern speech.
culture
With a capital reading it is also a common surname (as in the physician 俞 family names). The classical assent sense and the surname share the same syllable and tone.
