风 (wind) is one of the six external pathogenic factors (
六淫) that invade the body. In modern speech
伤风 is somewhat dated/literary; everyday Chinese now says
感冒 (gǎnmào). Set phrase:
伤风败俗 (shāngfēng-bàisú, "to corrupt morals," using a different sense of
风).
