Tips

culture
Temple fortune slips are graded from 上上 (best) down to 下下 (worst), so drawing a 下下签 is the worst luck. Plans use the same scale: 上策 is the best plan, 下策 a poor one, and 下下策 the worst of all.
usage
Before a time word, 下下 means 'after next': 下下周 is the week after next and 下下个月 the month after next. The opposite is 上上: 上上周, the week before last.
