Tips

culture
Originally garrison officer Lu Da () in Weizhou. After killing the bully butcher Zheng ('three punches kill Lord Zhen West', 西) he flees into monkhood at Wutai Shan — where he keeps drinking, brawling, and getting expelled. His signature feat is tearing a weeping willow tree out of the earth with his bare hands (杨柳) to prove his strength to other outlaws.
memory
The ('flower') in his nickname 花和尚 refers to his tattoos — he is the original inked monk, a thousand years before modern tattooed holy-man tropes.
