拳打镇关西) he flees into monkhood at Wutai Shan — where he keeps drinking, brawling, and getting expelled. His signature feat is tearing a weeping willow tree out of the earth with his bare hands (
倒拔垂杨柳) to prove his strength to other outlaws.
