history

霝 'rain falling in drops' is not used independently in modern Chinese. It is the source and phonetic of 灵 (the simplified 'spirit / clever', traditional 靈), 零 (zero / fragmentary), and 龄 (age). You meet it only in classical text and etymology notes.

Archaic and literary only. 霝 survives in old texts and component breakdowns, not in speech.
