Two sayings come from him. 萧何月下追韩信 'Xiao He chases Han Xin by moonlight' is said of going all out to keep a talent. 成也萧何,败也萧何 'made by Xiao He, undone by Xiao He' is said when one person is behind both success and failure: the man who had made Han Xin a general later helped Empress Lü trap and kill him.
history
He kept 刘邦's armies supplied from 关中 throughout the war with 项羽 and drew up the first Han laws. His successor 曹参 changed nothing, which gave the idiom 萧规曹随 'Cao follows the rules of Xiao'.
