Home to 普陀山 (Mount Putuo) — one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China, dedicated to 观音 (Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion). Zhoushan also hosts China's largest fishing port and a bonded free-trade zone for oil and commodity trading.
