Tips

culture
His descendant 秦大士, the 状元 of 1752, is said to have written at Yue Fei's tomb: 人从宋后羞名桧,我到坟前愧姓秦, 'since the Song, people are ashamed to be named Hui; at this grave I am ashamed to be a Qin'.
mistakes
In his name 桧 is read huì; as 'juniper' the same character is guì. His name became a byword for traitor, and a popular story says the fried dough stick 油条 was first called 油炸桧, 'fried Hui', by people who hated him.
