Tips

usage
Two set phrases keep the two senses alive. 一人得道,鸡犬升天, "when one man attains the Way, even his chickens and dogs rise to heaven", mocks hangers-on who rise with a powerful relative. From Mencius comes 得道多助,失道寡助, "a just cause finds much help, an unjust one little".
