寽 is not used independently in modern Chinese. It depicts fingers picking up a small thing and survives only as the phonetic and meaning core of 捋 (to stroke / strip off by hand) and a family of bronze-inscription forms. In Shang bronze texts it also named a unit of weight.

a handful; a pinch
Treated as a single unit: a clawing hand 爫 over a hand-with-thumb 寸, picturing fingers pinching up a small object. Indexed under Kangxi radical 寸 by tradition. The whole graph is the phonetic in 捋.
Filed under radical 寸 (cùn, #41) by convention. 寸 is not a separate component in 寽, so no strokes are highlighted.
