康桥 is the name 徐志摩 gave Cambridge, where he studied at King's College in 1921–22. He wrote the poem on the ship home after a short visit in 1928. It opens 轻轻的我走了,正如我轻轻的来 'softly I am leaving, just as softly I came' and ends 不带走一片云彩 'taking not a single cloud with me'. A stone carved with its first and last lines now stands at King's College.
