Located on the Baishui River near Anshun in Guizhou, the main cascade is about 77 metres high and 101 metres wide — the largest waterfall in China and one of the largest in Asia. The 'yellow fruit tree' (
黄果树) in the name refers to the local name for a native fig-like tree growing around the falls.
