Located on the Baishui River near Anshun in Guizhou, the main cascade is about 77 metres high and 101 metres wide, the largest waterfall in China and one of the largest in Asia. The 'yellow fruit tree' (黄果树) in the name refers to the local name for a native fig-like tree growing around the falls.
