Two readings. The everyday one is qī, found only in 蹊跷 (qīqiāo, odd, fishy). The other reading xī means a footpath, as in 蹊径 (xījìng) and 独辟蹊径 (dúpìxījìng, to blaze one's own trail).

Components

radical
foot
The foot radical on the left ties this character to walking and paths, which is clearest in its xī reading meaning footpath.
phonetic
phonetic element
The right side is read xī and supplies the sound; it also appears in (stream). The qī reading in 蹊跷 is a separate sound development.
