Tips

history
The second half of an old saying that 司马迁 quotes in the 史记 to close his life of the general 李广: 桃李不言,下自成蹊. Peach and plum trees call no one, yet people come for their blossom and fruit and wear a path beneath them. Li Guang was a plain man who could hardly make a speech, yet when he died the whole empire mourned him.
mistakes
蹊 'footpath' is read xī here. The reading qī belongs only to 蹊跷 'fishy, odd'.
