The whole poem:
荷尽已无擎雨盖,
菊残犹有傲霜枝。
一年好景君须记,
最是橙黄橘绿时。 'The lotus is gone, no leaves left to hold off the rain; the chrysanthemums have faded, but their frost-defying stems remain. Remember, sir, the best scene of the year: it is when oranges are yellow and tangerines green.' Written in 1090 at Hangzhou, where
苏轼 was prefect and Liu Jingwen, then in his late fifties, served as a military officer.
