Japanese names in Chinese subtitles keep the original characters and assign them Mandarin readings. 葛原 (Kuzuhara, 'kudzu fields') = Géyuán; 依子 (Yoriko) = Yīzǐ. The veteran Japanese voice actress Yoriko Kuzuhara is a likely real-world bearer; the name also appears as a generic Japanese name in subtitled dramas.
