Wuxi (无锡) industrialist family that built China's largest pre-1949 private flour-milling and cotton-spinning empire, founded by brothers 荣宗敬 and 荣德生 in the 1900s. 荣德生's son 荣毅仁 (Rong Yiren) became PRC Vice President (1993–1998) and founded CITIC Group. The family is often paired with the Guo (郭) Yongkang dynasty as emblematic of 'national capitalist' (民族资本家) industrial patriotism.
