history

From 《江湖纪闻》 via 《琅嬛记》: a merchant named You married a woman surnamed Shi. When he traveled far and did not return, she pined away and on her deathbed vowed 'I will become a great wind and stop other merchants from leaving their wives.' Thus contrary winds were called 石尤风 — the Shi-You wind.
