出自唐代无名氏《杂诗》："近寒食雨草萋萋，著麦苗风柳映堤。等是有家归不得，杜鹃休向耳边啼。"末句借杜鹃啼血的典故抒发漂泊之悲 - - 杜鹃鸟叫声近似"不如归去"，更勾起游子乡愁。
usage
常与"杜鹃啼血""天涯游子"等意象连用。现代语境中可形容因战争、疫情、政治等原因无法回家的人。
