mistakes
暴发 and 爆发 sound the same. 爆发 (to burst) is for things that build up and explode: wars, revolutions, volcanoes, anger. 暴发 (sudden) is for floods and for sudden wealth, as in 暴发户 (the nouveau riche). For epidemics both are seen, and public-health writing uses 暴发.
