Literally 'wearing-bamboo-hat pigeon' - the spread of head feathers resembles a 斗笠 (conical straw rain hat worn by farmers). A fancy domestic pigeon variety, not to be confused with the Nationalist spymaster 戴笠 (Dai Li) whose name shares the same characters.
