点子 ('little spot') refers to the single colored patch on an otherwise snow-white pigeon. Bred in China for centuries as a show bird, especially in Beijing and Tianjin, and recognized internationally as the Chinese Spot — one of the oldest documented Chinese fancy pigeon breeds.
