出自唐代刘禹锡《浪淘沙九首·其八》：“莫道谗言如浪深，莫言迁客似沙沉。千淘万漉虽辛苦，吹尽狂沙始到金。”刘禹锡屡遭贬谪，借淘金之喻自勉，流言虽深、逆境虽长，但经过反复淘洗终见真金。
